Heather Eidson has more than six years of experience as a professional photojournalist, currently as a full-time staff photographer at the Times of Northwest Indiana. She has garnered many awards, including a third place award for Photographer of the Year in Illinois Press Photographer's Association's 2008 contest, and several other accolades from state and regional contests. She has been recognized by the Women in Photojournalism organization and National Press Photographers Association. Her photography has led her from Seattle, Washington to Washington, D.C.

She is a member of National Press Photographers Association, the Indiana Press Photographer's Association and the Wedding Photojournalist's Association.

Heather also teaches photojournalism classes at The Chicago Photography Center, located at 2800 N. Lincoln in Chicago, IL.
